Reigning champ has a message for the former champ
In response to Jedrzejczyk claiming that she will travel to Zhang’s native country China and beat her in a fight, Zhang put up a post on Instagram saying that she is more than ready for the fight.
UFC President Dana White recognizes the potential of this match-up and in a screenshot depicting the verbal exchange between the two fighters, White has claimed that the fight will be fun to watch.
Although nothing is confirmed yet, it is clear that UFC is interested in making the fight between Weili and Jedrzejczyk happen. After spectacularly beating Michelle Waterson at UFC Fight Night 161, there is no doubt that the Polish fighter deserves a shot at the title.
With both fighters as well as the President of the promotion on-board, it seems like it is only a matter of time until this super-fight is announced.
