Javier Mendez, Cormier’s coach, was not happy about it.

“He had no business being interviewed,” Mendez said in a text message to USA TODAY Sports. “Bad move. Rogan probably feels bad.”

Rogan first asked Cormier to share his thoughts on the fight.

“I don’t know man,” said Cormier, who had just taken several vicious hits to the head. “I thought the fight was going well. I really don’t know what happened. I guess I got kicked in the head.”

Rogan then asked the UFC star about his rivalry with Jones.

“I don’t know, man,” Cormier said. “I guess if he wins both fights, there is no rivalry. I don’t know.“

Mendez told USA Today Sports that Cormier was later diagnosed with a concussion.

Rogan apologized on Twitter for the interview on Sunday.
