The main event will have Namajunas (9-3) competing for the first time since beating Joanna Jędrzejczyk in their rematch by unanimous decision at UFC 223 in April 2018. The 26-year-old stopped Jędrzejczyk’s dominant championship reign at five consecutive title defenses when she battered the former champion inside one round to capture UFC gold for the first time.
Meanwhile, Andrade (19-6) has bounced back from her missed opportunity to unseat Jędrzejczyk at UFC 211 in May 2017 by winning three in a row, including her last time out when she viciously knocked out former title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz in just under two minutes at UFC 228 back in September.
