Usman made his MMA debut in 2012. After losing the second fight of his pro career, Usman has won 19 in a row. He beat Tyron Woodley in 2019 for the UFC welterweight title. Usman has defended the belt five times. “The Nigerian Nightmare” beat Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal twice, and beat Gilbert Burns via TKO. Usman’s last fight was a unanimous decision win over Covington in November. He has been recovering from hand surgery ever since....

Sterling is back in action after defeating Petr Yan by split decision in April. This was a rematch that came after he won the title when Yan was disqualified for hitting Sterling with an illegal knee in their first meeting last March. He has won seven fights in a row dating back to April 2018 and looks to add a former champion to his list. Dillashaw has won the title on two occasions: a stunning upset against Renan Barao in 2015 and a stoppage of rival Cody Garbrandt in 2017....

In case you didn’t know… Having made his UFC debut in 2014 in a losing effort, Anthony Rocco Martin has certainly been in his top form in recent years, having scored some impressive wins inside the Octagon against the likes of Keita Nakamura, Ryan LaFlare, Alex White, and Johnny Case. Martin’s last fight in the UFC took place earlier this year at UFC 229 when he secured a KO win over Ryan LaFlare....

While UFC Ottawa will be headlined by Al Iaquinta facing Donald Cerrone and co-headlined by Derek Brunson and Elias Theodorou, the rest of the card is quite impressive as well. Vake was a father to a 3-year-old and, per all his gym mates, a very talented mixed martial artist. He was involved in a brawl in Auckland earlier this year that left him severely injured. Vake succumbed to the injuries he received during the assault. As reported by stuff.co.nz, one person suspected of being involved in the assault has accepted his role in the tragic event. However, another man has denied being involved in the attack on Vake....

At the Denver pay-per-view, Yair Rodriguez had one of the most impressive fights in his entire career. During the course of the bout, there was not a single point where he had slowed down, instead, fighting and battering ‘The Korean Zombie’ for the entire fight. Both fighters put on a good show, but it was in the last second of the last round that things truly changed for Rodriguez. As Chan Sung Jung desperately lunged forward looking to take advantage of an opening that Rodriguez had apparently left in his defense, Rodriguez ducked down, let Jung get over him, and threw his elbow upwards, hitting him on the jaw and knocking him out at the literal last second....

Apart from that, White is staunchly against co-promotion or cross-promotion. One of the reasons why Fedor Emelianenko’s deal with the UFC didn’t work out was because he wanted a co-promotion, which the UFC deemed as impossible. Had it gone through, his debut would have been a Heavyweight Championship fight against then-champion Brock Lesnar.
